In addition to showcasing the outstanding achievements of HBKU’s research community, Research Day is also about celebrating hard work, progress, and success. This year, the awards were presented in the following six categories:
Best Research Project Awards
This category recognizes the ‘Best Research Project’ presentation that received the highest score from the Research Day committee. Three awards were presented to the research project teams for first, second and third place.

Best Poster Awards
As part of the Research Day ‘Best Poster’ competition, three awards were presented to the top three student research posters and three researcher/faculty posters as determined by expert judges and through online votes from within the HBKU research community.

Early Career Researcher Awards
This category recognizes outstanding researchers earlier on in their career and to acknowledge their excellent research work and accomplishments. First, second, and third places will be announced. The first-place winner received a QR50,000 grant to support his/her research.
